Ich liebe alte Fotos und Postkarten, vor allem alte Porträts oder Szenen aus dem Alltag. Man träumt sich in eine andere Zeit und versucht sich vorzustellen, wie die Menschen damals lebten, wen sie liebten und was sie beschäftigte. Die junge Frau ist Ione Bright nach einem Foto von 1912.
Ione Bright war wahrscheinlich eines der Geheimnisse am Broadway, die zierliche kleine Schauspielerin nahm zwischen 1910 und 1937 nur an 5 Theaterstücken teil. Es gibt kaum Informationen über diese Schauspielerin, die mit kindlicher Schönheit ausgestattet ist.
Ich hatte die Idee, diese Schönheit auf moderne expressionistische Weise zu präsentieren. Also begann ich mit den Pinselwerkzeugen und verschiedenen Farbverläufen und Filtern zu arbeiten. Manchmal arbeitet man so, als wäre man betrunken und weiß danach nicht mehr genau, wie man es gemacht hat. So wurden 3 Versionen dieses Bildes erstellt. Die 2 besten, die ich dir hier zeigen möchte. Ich hoffe, es gefällt dir, und Ione Bright wird mir die vielen Farbspuren auf deinem Gesicht verzeihen, wenn du meine Arbeit vom Himmel aus betrachtest!

I love old photographs and postcards, especially old portraits or scenes from everyday life. One dreams oneself into another time and tries to imagine how people lived at that time, who they loved and what occupied them. The young woman is Ione Bright after a photograph from 1912.
Ione Bright was probably one of the mysteries on Broadway, the petite little actress took part in only 5 plays between 1910 and 1937. There is hardly any information about this actress, equipped with childlike beauty.
I had the idea to present this beauty in a modern expressionistic way. So I started to work with the brush tools and different color gradients and filters. Sometimes you work like you’re intoxicated and afterwards you don’t really know how you did it. That’s how 3 versions of this picture were created. The 2 best I would like to show you here. I hope you like it, and Ione Bright will forgive me for the many spots of paint on your face when you look at my work from the sky!
